HISTORY OF MUSIC BOX

The Beginning:

It all started with four brothers and the store
Beethoven on Manouchehri street in Tehran.
They were able to build a famous record store that tailered to 
customers as well as the artists needs, forming their own 
recording company. After 23 years in business, one of the
brothers, Abbas Chamanara, came to the U.S. and openend a 
record store named Music Box in Orange County selling music 
to the Orange County community for 10 years. Mr. Chamanara 
closed his Orange County store and moved his business to the
heart of Westwood back in 1986 and started to sell Persian and 
World music.
Music Box was the first store in Los Angeles to exclusively 
sell Persian and World music. We have been at the same location 
for over 20 years and Mr. Chamanara brings over 50 years of 
Music experience to his business.
We are a leading authority on Persian and World Music. Many customers, 
retail stores and websites come to our site for information on 
artists and albums. 
You will find our prices very competitive to other stores and websites. 
In most cases our regular prices will beat the sale prices 
of many other websites.
Our store carries a vast collection of Persian, Turkish, Arabic, 
Spanish, French, Italian and Import CD's.  If you don't find something, 
or looking for anything in particular, email us and 
we'll do our best to find it.

We do not sell used CDs, Cassettes, DVDs or Videos. 
All our products are originals and we do not sell copies of any product.



Our return policy is that we only exchange items that are defective 
for the same exact item. You may return any item 
for exchange if the item is not open at your expense,
unless it is a defective item. We have the right 
to refuse service to anyone that abuses our return policy.
We do not give REFUNDS.

Shipping Options



A. UPS OPTIONS UNITED STATES

1.  We offer UPS shipping in the United States Only.
2.  We offer free UPS Ground Shipping on orders over $150.
3.  Please be aware that UPS does not deliver to PO Boxes.
4.  There are no UPS deliveries on Saturdays/Sundays.
5.  Delivery for UPS Ground depends on your location to Los Angeles. It
    can take anywhere from 1 to 5 business days for your package to 
    arrive.
6.  Other UPS delivery options: Next Day Air, 2nd Day Air and 3 Day Select 
    are guaranteed services from the date the order is shipped. Please
    note that the next day is counted as day one and not the same day. 
    (i.e. 3 Day Select order received on Wednesday will arrive Monday. 
    Thur=day1, Fri=day2, Mon=day3)
7.  Most orders are shipped same day unless an item is temporarily out 
    of stock. In those cases your order will be shipped within 72 hours or 
    less unless notified. 
8.  All items purchased from Music Box via UPS are made pursuant to a 
    shipping contract. This means that the risk of loss and title for such 
    items pass to you upon our delivery to the carrier.


B. USPS OPTIONS UNITED STATES

1.  We offer USPS (United States Postal Service) Shipping for the 
    United States, Military and U.S. territories.
2.  We offer two options USPS Media Mail (Standard Shipping) & USPS 
    Priority Mail.
3.  Free USPS Media Mail Shipping on orders over $75.00.
4.  Delivery for USPS Media Mail depends on your location to Los Angeles.
    It can take anywhere from a 2 to 14 business days or more. 
    Please allow up to 3 weeks for delivery in some areas.
5.  Delivery for USPS Priority Mail depends on your location to Los 
    Angeles. It can take anywhere from 1 to 3 business days for delivery.
6.  Most orders are shipped the next day unless an item is temporarily out 
    of stock. In those cases your order will be shipped within 72 hours or 
    less unless notified. 
7.  All items purchased from Music Box via USPS are made pursuant to a 
    shipping contract. This means that the risk of loss and title for 
    such items pass to you upon our delivery to the carrier.


C. USPS WORLD SHIPPING

The United States Postal System has overhauled its shipping options for shipping
around the world. There are only three classes of international Shipping:
1.  Express Mail International - Average of 3 to 5 business days for delivery. 
    This includes Insurance as well as tracking.
2.  Priority Mail International - Average of 6 to 10 business days for delivery. 
    This includes Insurance as well as tracking.
3.  First Class Mail International

Please note that many countries do not offer Priority Mail International. If you 
are unable to choose Priority Mail International; please choose First Class Mail
International.

We now ship to most countries worldwide. If you do not see your country listed,
please email us and we will let you know if we are able to ship to that country.
